Dodgers congratulate Red Sox with full page ad in the Globe
The ad ran in Wednesday's Globe.
The Los Angeles Dodgers took out a full page ad in Wednesday’s Globe to congratulate the Red Sox on winning the World Series. The Sox topped the Dodgers in five games.
Here is a look at the ad:

After Boston defeated the Cardinals to win the 2013 World Series, the Sox used a full page ad in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch to thank the Midwestern city for the “warm welcome’’ extended to the Sox. “Your region, its people, and the entire Cardinals organization represent everything that’s great about baseball,’’ the ad read.
After the Blackhawks defeated the Bruins to win the Stanley Cup in 2013, the Blackhawks organization took out a full page ad in the Globe to run a four paragraph open letter to the Bruins and the city of Boston. “Like the rest of world, Chicagoans have been reminded in recent days of Boston’s strength,’’ the final paragraph of the open letter read. “Please know we tip our hat to your city’s big heart and gracious spirit. You lead by example and have set the bar very high for others to follow.’’
