Hanley Ramirez may no longer be in the Red Sox clubhouse, but he’s still encouraging his former teammates.

With the team on the verge of clinching the World Series, Ramirez tweeted some simple words of encouragement Sunday morning.

Up 3-1 in the series, the Red Sox need just one more win against the Los Angeles Dodgers to secure their World Series rings. Game 5 is Sunday night in Los Angeles. Games 6 and 7, if necessary, would be back in Boston on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It’s unclear if the Red Sox would send Ramirez a ring if they win it all, though MLB teams have historically sent the honorary jewelry to players who didn’t play in the World Series or even finish the season on the roster (Nomar Garciaparra is one high-profile example).

After 44 games this season, Ramirez was released by the Red Sox in May. Despite not signing with another team, the 34-year-old slugger is reportedly planning a comeback in 2019.
