The Dodgers subtweeted the Red Sox after their 18-inning win
"Do Damage"?
By now, you’ve probably seen it plastered on T-shirts, appended to tweets, flashed on the television broadcast, or painted on the “win wall” at Fenway Park.
“Do Damage.”
It’s the Red Sox’ trending postseason slogan — a callback to manager Alex Cora’s introductory press conference when he said the “key” for an offense is “to have a consistent approach, hunting pitches that you can do damage.”
Boston’s World Series opponent, the Los Angeles Dodgers, offered their own take on the mantra following their epic 18-inning victory in Game 3 Friday night.
“Damage Done,” the team’s Twitter account tweeted, along with a video of Max Muncy’s walk-off home run and their own hashtag “LADetermined.”

Both the Red Sox’ ALDS and ALCS opponents also tried trolling the Sox at some point during their series, and things didn’t exactly work out in their favor.
Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge blared “New York, New York,” as he was leaving Fenway Park following his team’s win in Game 2 of the ALDS. The Red Sox went on to win two games — including a 16-1 beatdown — at Yankee Stadium. Series over.
And, after splitting the first two games of the ALCS, Houston’s third baseman Alex Bregman posted a “lil pregame video work” of the Astros previously drilling back-to-back-to-back home runs off of Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi, who they were set to face in Game 3. Eovaldi went on to pitch six solid innings for Boston, which rattled off three straight wins in Houston. Series over — again.
The Dodgers will look to avoid that same fate in Games 4 and 5 at Dodgers Stadium Saturday and Sunday night.
