The 2008 American League Most Valuable Player blends in among the celebrities of Los Angeles.

Dustin Pedroia, who hasn’t played for the Red Sox since May 29 due to injury, still travels with the team as a useful clubhouse presence. Apparently, not all of Dodger Stadium security know who he is.

While walking in from the outfield before Game 3 of the World Series, Pedroia was stopped by security, who asked to see his identification. The moment was spotted by NBC Sports Boston’s “Camera Guys“:

When asked, the security guard said, “I card everybody.”

This isn’t the first time Pedroia has been stopped by a security guard at the World Series. In 2007, at Coors Field to play the Rockies in his first Fall Classic, Pedroia was asked for ID at the gate.

Then in his first season as a starter, Pedroia alleged responded with a retort about asking Jeff Francis, the Rockies pitcher he’d homered off of in Game 1.
