Kevin Millar and David Ortiz reunited for the ceremonial first pitch before Game 2 of the World Series. However, that wasn’t the first time the former Red Sox teammates reconnected this week.

Millar kicked off his Barstool Radio appearance Wednesday with a story about a slumber party at Ortiz’s house the night before Game 1.

“First of all, I had a sleepover at Papi’s house two nights ago,” Millar began. “Straight up. Straight up random sleepover. I slept at Papi’s house. I had no toothbrush, no nothing.”

When Millar’s plane touched down in Boston, he met former Cubs second baseman Mark DeRosa and his wife for a drink. Then the crew linked up with Ortiz at his Downtown Crossing restaurant, Yvonne’s.

“Had a few cocktails,” Millar said. “Laughing. Hehe. Then [Ortiz was] taking us back to the hotel and he said, ‘Just sleep over.'”

After his wife gave the go-ahead, Millar and Co. headed back to Ortiz’s house.

“We slept over. Like literally slept over,” the former first baseman said. “Stayed up till 4:30 a.m. Had a great time.”

Ortiz even found a bedroom for Millar — who has Boston winning the World Series in five games — to sleep in.

“Where was this story going?”
