"This is big, dude!"
the Red Sox to a World Series berth with a 4-1 victory over the Houston Astros by pitching six shutout innings and nine strike-outs. At the postgame press conference, he gave props to his son, Xavier, for staying awake for most of it.
“He was a trooper,” Price said, with the 17-month-old propped on his lap. “He took a little nap right after the game started, because it was three hours past his bedtime. But he’s been to the last two games and stayed up later than he’s ever stayed up.”
Xavier, who briefly wore a backwards Sox cap before removing it, eventually started to fuss.
“This is big, dude, stop,” Price cooed at his son, smiling wide as reporters chuckled. “Quit it. Quit it. This is big.”
Xavier was handed over to another caretaker, presumably Price’s wife, Tiffany, who was also in attendance.
