These two ex-Red Sox are cheering on their former team from Las Vegas
Mike Napoli and Jonny Gomes are ready to celebrate a win.
The last time the Red Sox won a World Series, in 2013, Mike Napoli and Jonny Gomes were the life of the party.
Five years later, not much has changed, and they made it clear they hope the team’s fate is the same this time around.
Napoli posted a photo and a video to Instagram on Saturday, enthusiastically letting fans know that he and Gomes are rooting for the Sox to beat the Astros and go all the way.
In the photo, Napoli – who played in Boston from 2013-2015 – wrote: “We ready Boston!!! Letsssss gooo!!! The hashtags included #beardedbrothers and #soontobechamps, and they were both sporting LAVO Party/Brunch yellow-framed glasses that can’t be easy to see out of.

The video, taken at LAVO Italian Restaurant & Nightclub in Las Vegas, showed Napoli and Gomes – who was with the Red Sox in 2013 and 2014 – starting their night with some shots.
“Here’s to Chris sale striking out 10!!! #loveyouredsoxnation,” he wrote.
Napoli knows a thing or two about pitchers, and time will tell whether his prediction comes true.
