Who will win the World Series, Dodgers or Astros?

Debate the answer with Chad Finn and Boston sports fans at The Sports Q.

Welcome to Boston.com’s Sports Q, our daily conversation, initiated by you and moderated by Chad Finn, about a compelling topic in Boston sports. Here’s how it works: You submit questions to Chad through TwitterFacebook, email, his Friday chat, and any other outlet you prefer. He’ll pick one each weekday to answer, then we’ll take the discussion to the comments. Chad will stop by several times per day to navigate. But you drive the conversation.I know Red Sox fans have probably moved on to the Patriots, Celtics  and Bruins now, but I hope everyone remembers to watch the World Series. This could be a great one between the two best teams in baseball this year. And there are ties to the Red Sox, with Alex Cora in the Astros dugout and Dave Roberts managing the Dodgers. I know you’ll watch, Finn. So who do you have? – Will B.

Before I answer: Isn’t it kind of weird that Cora, the new Red Sox manager, is still in the Astros dugout as the bench coach? He’s basically embedded at this point, though I’m sure he has some value to A.J. Hinch and it wouldn’t be good form to boot him out when the team has reached the World Series. Hope he’s gathering intel, though.

I’ve got the Dodgers in 7. Not an easy pick, and there’s a real chance someone on the Astros like Jose Altuve steals the show, hits .500/.600/.833 for two weeks, and Houston prevails. Which would be cool. They’re a truly superb team. But the Dodgers, they’re pretty close to flawless, especially if Corey Seager plays. And they have a major advantage in the bullpen. I just don’t know how Houston is going to piece it together with Chris Devinski suddenly struggling.

And should we really be celebrating Lance McCullers throwing 24 straight curveballs in Game 7 against the Yankees? If he doesn’t have one of those little pre-scheduled visit cards stuck on his fridge for an appointment with Dr. James Andrews, he probably should.

So: Rooting for the Astros. Think the Dodgers win. Clayton Kershaw is the MVP. Cora brings all of the Astros secrets to Boston. Book it.

But what do you guys think? Who will win the World Series? I’ll hear you in the comments.
