Astros and Dodgers prepare for sweltering start to World Series: Clayton Kershaw and Dallas Keuchel start Game 1 of the Series, but will have to prepare for somewhat abnormal conditions. The expected temperature in Los Angeles is 101 degrees (expected to be “only” in the upper 90s by the time the game begins).
“I mean, it’s the World Series,” Keuchel said. “So if it’s a little hotter than usual, that’s fine with me. There’s no place I’d rather be.” (ESPN)
Morris not slated to make Celtics debut this week: Marcus Morris was what the Celtics got in exchange for Avery Bradley in an offseason trade. So far, the forward has yet to play for Boston. Citing a sore knee, Morris told reporters that he hoped to make his season debut against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, Oct. 30. (CBS Boston)
Millis resident facing charges in relation to crash with Patriots linebacker: A 25-year-old is facing multiple charges for his role in the car crash that sent Harvey and Cassidy Langi to the hospital for nine days. Among the four charges are possession and concealment of a Class E substance and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Langi was rear-ended while stopped at an intersection on Oct. 13. The driver hit them going 50 miles per hour, according to Foxborough police. (Boston Globe)
