The Yankees expertly trolled the Red Sox on Twitter
Even though they aren’t opponents in this season’s ALCS, the Red Sox and Yankees are still taking shots at each other. On the anniversary of Boston’s come-from-behind win in the Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS, the team’s Twitter account shared a video of Dave Roberts’ critical stolen base in the ninth inning — the play that arguably saved the Sox from getting swept and sparked their historic World Series run. To commemorate the special day, the tweet read: “Today’s basically a holiday…”

The Yankees, however, clapped back with a timely burn, as they have many times before. Still in contention for the American League pennant, they responded: “Ah, work day for us. Game time is 5:08pm, if you’re not busy.”
