Watch Rafael Devers make history with his go-ahead home run against the Astros
After trailing for 44 consecutive innings in the postseason, the Red Sox finally have their first playoff lead of the year.
During the bottom of the third inning, with Hanley Ramirez on base, Rafael Devers launched Francisco Liriano’s 94.2 mph fast ball over the centerfield wall to give his team the 4-3 lead. 16 days shy of his 21st birthday, Devers became the youngest player in Red Sox history to homer during the postseason.
Former Red Sox ace Pedro Martinez was impressed with the youngster’s bat.
Vamo arriba mi niño Devers!!!! Go Sox!!! Well hit Devers!’
