Red Sox announcer Jerry Remy shared some difficult news on Monday, revealing that he has lung cancer for a fourth time.

The longtime NESN broadcaster announced the news on Twitter, noting that he is “still strong”:

Remy has had procedures in the past to fight lung cancer, and will do so again in 2017. According to The Boston Globe, he will have surgery to remove a small piece of his lung after the Red Sox’s next road trip, which ends June 21.

In late 2008 as well as 2009, Remy had similar procedures in previous battles with cancer. Each time, he was able to return to the broadcast booth.
