David Ortiz says he received his Silver Slugger Award—via FedEx
David Ortiz may be retired, but he’s apparently still receiving awards.
After being named the American League’s Silver Slugger at designated hitter in November, the Red Sox great posted on Instagram Friday that he had received the award—via FedEx.

The 2016 Silver Slugger Award was Ortiz’s seventh. Red Sox teammates Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts also received the award in 2016 at their respective positions.
Silver Slugger Awards go to the top hitters at each position in each league, as voted on by managers and coaches.
