Ortiz ended his Red Sox career with a walk. His eighth-inning base on balls against Cody Allen would be his final Fenway plate appearance. He was replaced by pinch runner Marco Hernandez as the Red Sox attempted to even the score. In his final game, Ortiz was 0-1 with two walks and an RBI.
