It looks like the Red Sox have addressed a major need.

Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski announced Monday that the team sent minor league pitcher Pat Light to Minnesota in exchange for reliever Fernando Abad.

Abad looks to help out a Red Sox bullpen that has struggled at times this year, particularly against lefties. The 6’1″ left-hander has a 2.65 ERA in 39 appearances this year for Minnesota. His best year came in 2014 as a member of the A’s: a 1.57 ERA and 0.85 WHIP in 69 appearances.
