Xander Bogaerts, Mookie Betts and Jackie Bradley Jr. have emerged as stars together with the Red Sox. If it is up to Bogaerts, they will also remain stars together in Boston.

“I love the city. I love the people here, and I love the coaching staff,” Bogaerts told The Boston Globe ahead of his first All-Game appearance. “This is the only thing I know. We have a good core of young guys. I hope we stay together because we can do some special things.

“We’ll see what happens and where life takes me. If you put up good numbers and play the game the right way, good things will happen.”

Bogaerts has done just that, as he is tied with Betts for second-most hits in MLB with 117. The 23-year-old Sox shortstop has hit more homers so far during the 2016 (10) season than he did during the entire 2015 season (7). He has also recorded a career-high 11 steals in 2016.
