Don Orsillo caught up with an ‘old friend’ before the All-Star Game
With so many Red Sox stars in San Diego for the All-Star Game, Don Orsillo was bound to bump into someone he knew.
The former Red Sox play-by-play announcer, who now calls Padres games, tweeted a photo of him and Boston’s designated hitter, David Ortiz, before Tuesday’s game at Petco Park.
Caught up with an old friend today. Congrats @davidortiz on your last All-Star game!#ASG2016 #RedSox. pic.twitter.com/urR6wzfupn

Prior to this season, Orsillo was NESN’s play-by-play voice of the Red Sox for 15 years. The retiring Ortiz, now a 10-time All-Star, is in his 14th season with the Sox.
