The Red Sox (40-32) travel to face the Rangers (47-26) in a three-game series starting Friday.

David Price kicks off the series after posting a 2.47 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and .204 opponent batting average in his last eight starts. He’ll be looking for his ninth consecutive quality start.

The Sox, who sit at second in the AL East, went 1-3 in their series against the White Sox this week. They have won four of their last 10 games, and allowed four runs per game during that span. However in the last 10 games, their offense only produced 3.7 runs per game, which is down from their season average (5.64).
