Red Sox vs. Blue Jays: David Price leads charge against defending AL East champions

The Red Sox (32-22) begin a three-game series against the Blue Jays (29-26) on Friday at Fenway Park.

The Sox enter the weekend atop the AL East after splitting a four-game series against the Orioles. Boston holds a one game lead over second-place Baltimore and is 3.5 games ahead of third-place Toronto. The Jays, who won the AL East in 2015, are coming off a three-game series sweep of the Yankees.

The Sox are 4-5 against the Jays this season. Boston won the teams’ last meeting, 5-3, on May 29.
