Red Sox vs. Yankees: Rick Porcello brings undefeated record to Bronx
It’s time for Round 2 of the 2016 season.
One week after the Red Sox swept a three-game series against the Yankees at Fenway Park, the rivalry shifts to the Bronx for three more games. The Red Sox arrived in New York atop the standings in the American League East at 17-11. Meanwhile, the Yankees were stuck in the division’s cellar with a record of 9-17, their worst start since 1984.
Aiming to stay ahead of the Orioles in the AL East, the Red Sox are set to send Rick Porcello, David Price and Steven Wright to the mound at Yankee Stadium over the weekend. Below is a look at the probable pitching matchups as well as scheduled start times for the weekend series.
