Even David Ortiz applauded when White Sox’ Austin Jackson robbed him with a leaping catch
Not even David Ortiz could be too mad about it: White Sox outfielder Austin Jackson had sent him back to the dugout with an impressive leaping grab.
With the Red Sox trailing the White Sox, 1-0, in the second inning on Tuesday, David Ortiz led off the frame for the visitors by driving a ball deep to center field. At the wall, Jackson leapt to make a highlight catch.
All Big Papi could do was smile and applaud.

Thanks to some help from teammates like Jackson, White Sox pitcher Jose Quintana stymied Boston hitters for eight innings. The White Sox won 4-1.
