As long as David Price kept throwing, the strikeouts kept coming.

The Red Sox’ left-handed ace racked up 14 strikeouts over eight innings in an 11-4 win over the Braves in Atlanta on Tuesday night. The strikeout total matched a career high for Price. The win improved his 2016 record to 3-0.

“That’s as crisp and as sharp as we’ve seen David this year,” Red Sox manager John Farrell told reporters after the game, via ESPN. “When he came back out for the second [inning], he was much more assertive. There was much more crispness, power, execution. Very good through the eight innings.”
