Mookie Betts has the Red Sox’ first perfect game of 2016

Mookie Betts won’t likely take the mound for the Red Sox in 2016, but he already has the team’s first perfect game this year.

The 23-year-old outfielder went bowling on Wednesday, and rolled a perfect score of 300 for the second time in the last few weeks, according to MLB.com.

Boston’s two-sport star took part in the World Series of Bowling earlier this offeason and rolled an average of 190 over his four “animal pattern’’ rounds, according to PBA.com.

How devastating.

No slouch at his day job, Betts hit .291 with 18 homers, 77 RBI, and was third in the American League in doubles with 42 in 2015 with the Red Sox.
