Watch Wade Miley nab a way-too-casual, behind-the-back grab
At 220 pounds, Wade Miley’s not exactly cat-like, but the Red Sox pitcher showed Sunday he’s got quick mitts.
In the fifth inning of the Sox’s 5-4 loss to the Mets, David Wright hit a grounder, which looked like it might reach center field, but Miley reached behind his back to catch the ball. He casually tossed it to first base and ended the inning.

Miley pitched six innings with six strikeouts, allowing nine hits, and four earned runs. The Mets avoided a sweep by the Sox in this weekend’s three-game series. Boston will host the New York Yankees in three-game series starting Monday.
