Watch Jackie Bradley Jr. crash into the wall after making a sweet catch
Jackie Bradley has provided no shortage of fantastic defensive plays. In the fourth inning of Red Sox 5-4 loss to the Marlins on Tuesday, the 25-year-old outfielder chased down a deep fly ball from Miami’s Adeiny Hechavarria. Bradley Jr. elevated and made the acrobatic grab, immediately crashing into the wall.
“Just a ball that was hit hard,’’ said Bradley after the game, via MLB.com. “Just happened to get a good bead on it and make a jumping play.’’
Starting pitcher Steven Wright threw up his hands after seeing the catch. Bradley Jr., however, casually signalled there were two outs in the inning and jogged back into place. It was reminiscent of his over-the-shoulder, basket catch on Sunday.
Not bad for his first start in left field.
“None of them [were] hard,’’ Bradley said.

Bradley also contributed on offense, hitting 2 of 4 and tabbing a triple (which you can watch here).
“We all know he’s capable of doing it and he’s finally having the results from all that hard work he’s put in. The catch. The at-bats. They’ve been very, very consistent,’’ bench coach Torey Lovullo said. Lovullo filled in for manager John Farrell, who was getting surgerty for a sports hernia.
The best Red Sox are NOT in the Hall of Fame?
