Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout has reached base in every game since June 14. Friday night’s game against the Boston Red Sox was no exception.

The Sox defense put forth a phenomenal effort, allowing only two hits all game. But one of those hits was Trout’s walk-off home run in the ninth inning, which sealed a 1-0 Red Sox loss.

Trout got hold of Sox closer Koji Uehara’s two-seam fastball and sent it to deep center field. In no time, Trout was swimming in Gatorade.

Sox starter Wade Miley pitched seven innings, fanned six, walked two, allowed one hit and zero runs. Uehara failed to get his 23rd save, as the piping hot Angels outfielder has carried his momentum through the All-Star break, picking up the All-Star Game MVP along the way.
