Watch Babe Ruth’s 98-year-old daughter throw out first pitch at Fenway
Before Babe Ruth was traded to New York and became arguably the greatest hitter of all time, he pitched for the Red Sox.
More than a century later, another member of the Ruth family threw a pitch at Fenway Park: his daughter. Julia Ruth Stevens, who turns 99 later this month, threw out the first pitch Sunday for the last game of the Red Sox’ three game home set against the Yankees.

NESN’s Tom Caron caught up with Stevens during the game, asking her which team she was rooting for. “Oh, both,’’ she responded. Of course, she made that diplomatic statement while wearing a Red Sox jersey.
