The Red Sox honored one of the franchise’s most beloved teams on Tuesday night when the 1975 American League champions reunited at Fenway Park to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of winning the pennant.

One by one, members of the team — including Bill Lee, Rick Wise, Rick Burleson, Bernie Carbo, Rogelio Moret and even Tim McCarver — were introduced wearing their ’75 season jerseys, with left fielders Carl Yastrzemski and Jim Rice emerging from inside the left field wall and Dwight Evans entering the field from the right field seats. Catcher Carlton Fisk, whose 12th inning home run in Game 6 of the World Series against the Cincinnati Reds remains one of the most iconic moments in baseball history, was the last player to be introduced. Fisk then caught the ceremonial first pitch from Luis Tiant, while the “Gold Dust Twins,’’ Rice and 1975 Rookie of the Year and AL MVP Fred Lynn, stood in either batters box.
