Wally the Green Monster Feuded With Mr. Met, But Apparently They’re Buds Again
Wally the Green Monster asked Twitter to verify his account today, and Mr. Met took objection to the request.

A mini feud ensued, with Mr. Met getting really wound up about another mascot wanting some recognition.

Alas, the feud was short lived, with both mascots deciding to join forces and gang up on Twitter instead. For reasons the company won’t give to Wally or Mr. Met, Twitter won’t verify team mascot accounts.

Personally, we would have rather seen the two mascots settle their differences in a more entertaining way (you have one job, guys). Mascot fights are awesome, and they’re a lot cheaper than Mayweather/Pacquiao. We’d even settle for a “mascot race’’ as long as it was at Fenway Park and the Easter Bunny didn’t crash the party.
