Watch Sox Fan Throw Beer in Yankees Fan’s Face
As the Red Sox and Yankees continued renewed their rivalry on the field last Saturday, a few fans made sure tensions remained high in the stands.
In the video above (Warning: Ballpark language) some Sox fans and one particular Yankees fan get into an argument. The video, captured by a fan a few seats away, doesn’t show the start of the conflict, instead beginning midway through a heated exchange .
The payoff comes about a minute in when the hoodied Red Sox fan tosses a beer in the Yankee fan’s face in response to his swatting a friend’s cup. The Yankees fan and friends then leave, though it appears they were already headed out as the fight started.
It was a fine throw by the Sox fan, though it’s unlikely this clip has the staying power of the infamous pizza toss, which happened eight years ago today.
