Watch: Portland Sea Dogs Are Getting Creative With Snow Removal

Spring may have officially arrived, but low temperatures and lingering piles of snow can have it feeling as if warm weather might never reach New England.

But baseball season is just around the corner, and the Red Sox’ Double-A affiliate Portland Sea Dogs have gone to drastic measures to make sure their home field is ready to come Opening Day … sort of.

Check out the video above from MiLB.com to see how mascot Slugger and the Sea Dogs Snow Removal Team are doing what they can do to ensure Hadlock Field is ready to for Sea Dogs’ home opener on April 9.

The Sea Dogs apparently had to turn up the heat on their snow removal efforts after shoveling by hand wasn’t getting the job done.
