Former Red Sox Pitcher Andrew Miller Agrees to Deal With Yankees
The last time Red Sox fans heard news like this was with Jacoby Ellsbury. Another former member of the Red Sox, reliever Andrew Miller, has moved on to New York, to don the navy pinstripes of a franchise Larry Lucchino once called the “Evil Empire’’.

Miller split last season between the Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles, posting a 2.34 ERA in and 14.7 strikeouts/9 innings in 50 appearances during 2014. He play actually improved as soon as he was moved to the Orioles, posting 1.35 ERA in 23 appearances. In his five playoff appearences, he only let two runners on base, while striking out eight.
Miller was considered the top relief pitcher on the market during the offseason, with the Yankees and Astros ending up as the two teams vying for him in the end.
