Breslow has spent the last three years in Boston, finishing his last season with a 2-4 record and a 5.96 ERA in 60 games appeared. His best season with the Red Sox was in 2013, where he went 5-2 in the regular season with a 1.81 ERA, and was Boston’s go-to eighth inning reliever during their 2013 World Series Championship run.
Breslow’s contract had a $100,000 buyout, which the Red Sox exercised.
