Too Soon: Google Says Mike Trout is the AL MVP
Angels superstar Mike Trout, by all accounts the top contender for the American League MVP award this season, has already won the award, according to a couple of Google searches.
As of Thursday morning, typing “MLB MVP winners’’ into Google yielded a picture of Trout for an award that hasn’t happened yet.

Searching for “AL MVP Winners’’ put Trout’s photo next to the league’s other recent winners.

Trout currently leads the AL in Wins Above Replacement, and barring injury he’s the favorite for the award. One theory on the mess up is that Google is confusing Trout’s All-Star Game MVP award this season with the real one.
