Pineda was suspended 10 games Thursday for his blatant use of pine tar during his start Wednesday night. Pitchers doctor the baseball with pine tar all the time, but Pineda had it smeared all over his neck and was thrown out when Red Sox manager John Farrell pointed it out to umpires. The Yankees beat the Sox, 14-5 Thursday night a game no one should have to see.
