Jerry Remy does not plan to step down from his post as color analyst for NESN’s Red Sox broadcasts, according to a Globe report. Remy told Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy Thursday that he plans to continue in the role despite his son, Jared, facing an October trial for the murder of girlfriend Jennifer Martel.

“I’m planning on being in Baltimore Monday,’’ Remy told Shaughnessy.

Earlier this week, Red Sox owner John Henry (who also owns the Globe and Boston.com), told WCVB he supports Remy.
