Red Sox call up Alfredo Aceves
The Red Sox Wednesday recalled righthander Alfredo Aceves from Triple A Pawtucket and optioned righthanded reliever Jose De La Torre to Pawtucket.
Aceves is scheduled to start tonight’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.
De La Torre pitched 3.1 innings on Tuesday.
