Red Sox announce spring broadcast schedule
If you’re not going to make the pilgrimage to Fort Myers, Fla. for spring training this year, no worries — you’ll still have several chances to watch the Red Sox prepare for the new season from the comforts of your couch.
The Red Sox revealed their spring training television and radio broadcast schedule this afternoon, and nine of the club’s 37 exhibition games will be broadcast on NESN.
WRKO 680, the Red Sox’ flagship radio station, will air 14 Grapefruit League games, as well as the Red Sox’ split-squad matchup with Northeastern University Saturday, Feb. 28.
The Red Sox will open their spring schedule with split-squad games against Boston College and the Minnesota Twins Wednesday, Feb. 25. The 7:05 p.m. contest versus the Twins will be broadcast on NESN and WRKO.
After that, the next game scheduled to air on NESN is Sunday, March 1, when the Red Sox face the Twins at 1:05 p.m.
