News flash part deux: With runners on second and third and two out in the in the seventh, A-Rod hit a three-run home run to left to give his team a 7-1 lead over the Red Sox.
That ended the night for Wakefield, giving way to Julian Tavarez. Wakefield allowed six earned runs and two home runs on the night. Wakefield threw 114 pitches, just 66 for strikes.
