Winds of change

In a reference to Wade Boggs’ claim that the then-named 600 Club, the glass-enclosed façade that was just recently demolished, affected his home run numbers, one reporter joked that Trot Nixon’s gross misjudgment on a line drive in the second must have been thanks to the changing wind patterns of the EMC Club. Probably not, though.

Temperatures in the Fens have plummeted, prompting the press box windows to be closed and a run on coffee in between innings.
