Instead, it was Red Sox killer Paul Konerko, following a Jermaine Dye walk, who homered in the very next frame on Tim Wakefield’s 1-1 offering, parking the ball in the left field seats to give Chicago a two-run lead again.
— No sooner did the White take a two-run lead, and some writers are already wondering if this means the end of the Black Sox curse.
