‘Bachelor’ star Matt James was ‘cooked’ in final mile of 2025 Boston Marathon
"My legs were cooked," said 'Bachelor' star Matt James at the 2025 Boston Marathon finish line. "I came out way too fast."
Matt James, the star of “The Bachelor” Season 25, looked to be in a good mood during the 2025 Boston Marathon, leaping in the air as as he crossed the finish line.
James finished with a respectable time of 3:36:54, beating almost all of the other notable runners at this year’s race and besting his 2022 Boston Marathon finishing time by about 13 minutes.
According to the reality TV star, however, the last mile of the 2025 Boston Marathon was tough sledding.
James was pulling double duty during the race, acting as a field correspondent for ESPN and WCVB-TV while out on the course.
“I heard so many inspiring stories on my run,” James told WCVB. “Coming down Boylston, there’s no feeling like it in the world.”
James said the Boylston Street crowd was what ultimately helped him finish strong.
“It was completely fueled by the crowd,” James said of his final mile. “My legs were cooked. I came out way too fast. But I had a blast, and we made it to the finish.”
