Good samaritans save the day with popsicles at mile 22
It's hot out there.
The heat presented a challenge for many runners during Monday’s Boston Marathon.
With temperatures reaching the mid-70s, generous spectators provided neon-colored popsicles—and some major relief—to marathoners at mile 22.
One runner—Pam Tymchak from New York, according to the BAA’s official athlete tracking website—looked hugely grateful when she spotted the icy popsicles.

In fact, she seemed to go through a rollercoaster of emotions over the ices—quite understandable given the temperatures:

After presumably cooling off with a blue popsicle, Tymchak finished the race with a time of 4 hours, 34 minutes, 8 seconds.
