Thousands of spectators will line the streets from Hopkinton to Boston during the 121st Boston Marathon on Monday. While there are plenty of great spots to catch the race in a number of different towns, one of the most popular vantage points is the stretch that runs through Wellesley.

At around the halfway point of the race, it’s a great location to give runners some encouragement, or to simply witness the Wellesley College scream tunnel. That’s why a number of people hit the streets hours before racers passed through the town to set up lawn chairs on Washington Street.

If you’re going to watch the race, this is how to do it.
