At the finish line, Evans said it felt nice to get back onto the course and he had “no qualms” about the safety of the race four years after the bombing.

“I want people to know it’s back to normal,” he said. “I love running it, and if I’m back running it, it says everybody should run it.”

After a quick shower and change following his successful return to the marathon, Evans was back at the finish line, medal in hand.
