The Boston Marathon runner who was carried over the finish line by two strangers after suffering heat exhaustion was released from the hospital Thursday.

Ari Ofsevit, a runner who was carried across the Boston Marathon finish line by two strangers, was hospitalized after suffering from heat exhaustion.

Ari Ofsevit, a 31-year-old Cambridge runner, spent two days in the Intensive Care Unit at Tufts Medical Center. He and the two runners who helped him have received lots of attention after a photo of the trio was tweeted by 2014 Boston Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi  appeared on The Boston Globe‘s front page Tuesday morning.
