David Ortiz Posts Inspiring Message on Marathon Monday
There are few people who represent Boston quite like its athletes. It’s no surprise then that David Ortiz was among those who took to social media to encourage this year’s runners.

With a ‘617 Strong’ sweater draped over the trophy, Big Papi was not alone in extending positive running vibes. Patriots receiver Julian Edelman also showed his support as well, posting a photo of himself with a runner’s bib crossing the finish line.

There’s still no word from the Celtics but the Bruins highlighted the runners persevering through the cold.

Marathon Monday is undoubtedly a special sports day in Boston, so it only makes sense that some of our favorite athletes are tipping their caps to this year’s runners.
