Politicians Offer Well Wishes, Prayers for Boston Marathon
Local and national political leaders took to Facebook Monday, offering well wishes to this year’s Boston Marathon runners and honoring the victims of last year’s bombings.
The White House sent out a photo of President Barack Obama and staffers observing a moment of silence:

Closer to home, US Congressman Joe Kennedy III posted a photo at Hopkinton as he awaited his wave’s start time:

Speaker of the House John Boehner also sent his regards to the city and runners. Boehner and other lawmakers recently signed the “America 4 Boston Prayer Canvas,’’ which is on display in Boston Common.
