Need a Trash Can? A Mailbox Will Have To Do
As the area around the Boston Marathon finish line reached capacity levels, it became clear to spectators that there would not be enough trash cans to hold their waste. Some of them were even locked!

So what does a reasonable person do in that situation?
Shove it in a mailbox! Federal crimes, be damned!

The United States Postal Service has notoriously diligent employees that won’t be stopped by any kind of precipitation, but something tells us a hail storm of garbage might give the local mail carrier some pause. Yuck.
Update, 3:30 p.m.: That didn’t take long. The city of Boston wants to know a little more about the junk-in-the-mail situation along the marathon route:
