Doug Flutie Wakes Up, Says ‘What the Heck, I’ll Run the Marathon’

A team running the marathon for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism has raised $176,463 for the cause, according to fundraising totals on the foundation’s website. The elder Flutie has apparently not slowed down in his athletic endeavors despite his retirement from football. I played in a charity basketball game with Flutie two years ago and the 51-year-old Flutie looked like he could still scramble for a first down.
You can track Flutie, and any other individual marathon runner, on the BAA website.
